Happy Holiday is Coming to Town

Now that we’re about to head into the busiest time of the year for brands and retailers, it’s time to start planning for peak success. This includes understanding the market dynamics, current trends, and customer expectations that will shape this year’s peak season. Here are our top 3 holiday shopping predictions for 2022.

Holiday Shopping Will Start Sooner

Despite the pandemic, labor shortages, supply chain challenges, and inflation concerns, 2021’s peak season sales for retail—including eCommerce—increased over 14% from the year prior, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF). But one of the most interesting trends we saw during the past two peak seasons was their early start. By mid-October, businesses were already rolling out “Black Friday” deals, many of which occurred on a weekly basis throughout October and November. And Cyber Monday stretched into an entire week, rather than occupying its traditional, single-day slot on the Monday after Thanksgiving.

In the Philippines, be conscious of the Double Digit online promos, 9.9, 10.10,11.11,and 12.12 plus more hype for the, Halloween,  Christmas Sale, New Year, and Chinese New Year.

From Online to Onsite Bazaars

The facemasks have now been announced as mandatory for the outdoors so expect more expos, trade fairs and bazaars from your hometowns and favorite shopping malls to engage consumers. As e-commerce has been very important to sellers during the height of lockdowns, most people now are excited to visit actual sites and create social bonding in the shops and malls. There will be more opportunities for businessmen to showcase exiting deals when customers visit their shops that may include trick or treats, games and many more.

Surprise bundles

Being more creative with offers will excite the shoppers, so make sure to tap more brand collaborations of food and restaurants, services like salons and spas, fashion and beauty and many more where they can offer sensible partnerships that buyers can enjoy and save up. This is a different approach from the usual grocery hampers or baskets but definitely shoppers would always go for something that gives them more value.

As a businessman, timing is important and if there is a need to import or outsource raw materials the best time is to come up with a scheduled plan and get the services of a very dependable and reliable logistics partner.
